Ponds are a great way to enhance a yard or a garden. These may have some degree of maintenance to work with but they are usually very minimal as long as one knows which pond supply to always have in stock. Filters
Filters are part of the filtration system that maintains the state of cleanliness and balance in a pond. This pond supply item is necessary especially if the pond houses some fish which needs the filtration system to continually work in order to survive. Since most ponds in gardens are usually man made, the habitat needs to be man made as well. Keeping several filters make sure that if the filtration system stops working due to the filters, there is always a replacement to use.
Fish Food
Fish food is another pond supply item which needs to be in constant supply. Although fish can live for a few days without food, especially in a pond that may have some plants in it, it is best to have this pond supply in readiness at all times. It is especially important if the fish are used to being feed at certain times. Without food, most fish eat the plants and other living things in the pond instead.
These are just two pond supply items which needs to be always present in a house with a pond. Although, the inhabitants of the pond may not die immediately without these, there is a possibility that prolonged time without these may result to death of some fish and other inhabitants.
